Expedition raises funds for two causes

On 31 August, a group of 26 employees, led by our CEO Elie Khouri, set off to Nepal for a 10 day-trek. The group, comprising staff from all our agencies, will climb from Lukla to Everest Base Camp with Gulf For Good. This initiative is a key component of our CSR/sustainability plan.

The challenge, which will see them walk for some 100 km, has helped raise valuable funds for two causes. These are Mission Himalaya, a local orphanage and eco farm, and the UNHCR. With the funds, Mission Himalaya will build a new dormitory for the boys. It will also get a solar panel system, computers and school supplies. Our donation to the UNHCR is for the medical treatment of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Omnicom Media Group MENA reports its sustainability activities in accordance with the GRI G4 Guidelines. Our first report was awarded at the 2015 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards.
