Omnicom Media Group’s Annalect has named Marie Clayton as its UK managing director, following a raft of senior appointments in early September.
Clayton, who will be responsible for Annalect’s strategic direction and drive the performance of Omnicom’s precision marketing platform, Omni, joins the data-led offering’s Europe, Middle East and Africa senior leadership team.
She will report to EMEA chief executive Jon Ghazi and OMG UK’s chief product and technology officer, Sean Betts.
Previously, Clayton was managing partner at Omnicom Media Group UK, leading on Omni UK and OMG UK Product. In this role she oversaw the rollout of Omni itself, setting up the team and developing a community of product specialists across the agency network.
Clayton said: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Annalect at a time when data has become one of, if not the, most important conversations in client board rooms.”
“I look forward to driving even further growth of Omni, optimising both usage and utility of the platform and its tools to its full capability. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved thus far and there’s certainly more to come.”
Her prior roles include global head of research and insight at Carat Global.
Dan Clays, UK chief executive of OMG, added: “Marie has made an outstanding impact on our business since she joined us two and half years ago – leading the successful rollout of Omni in the UK and playing a highly influential role with clients enabling them to unlock the potential of our platform and applications.”
In early September, Annalect made a series of senior appointments. George Maynard was promoted from head of data science EMEA and global innovation lead to chief product innovation officer, and Kat Fletcher joined as head of data operations and reporting. Previously, Fletcher was managing partner, global, data and tech, at Starcom.
