Fredrik has been the CEO of OMD, which is Sweden’s highest-ranked agency, for the past six years and worked within the OMG Group for 15 years in most senior positions. After the summer, Fredrik will take over his new role.
“I am delighted with the confidence to lead OMG’s continued journey and build on the foundation that has made us so successful in recent years. As a leader in the interplay between strategy, media, technology, and creativity, our strong position in the market is unique and something I will place significant focus on continuing to develop together with our talented employees, customers, and partners. The need for a robust, knowledgeable and present partner has never been as great as now, and the complexity is only increasing. My ambition is to continue to be at the forefront and lead the industry’s development, says Fredrik Eriksson.
In recent years, OMG has won several major international and national awards. Earlier this year, the analysis company Recma named the OMG Group Sweden’s best agency network for the second year in a row.
“I am incredibly proud of the journey of change we have made during these six years and what we have achieved together within the Group. This achievement was only possible due to our fantastic colleagues and the support and trust we have received from our customers and partners. It feels safe and natural to hand over the baton to Fredrik; he knows both OMG and the industry better than most and is just the right person to build on our successes “, says Ali Tajbakhsh.
“Ali has done a fantastic job during his six years with us at OMG. He will always be part of the Omnicom family, and we wish him all the best in his new challenges. When looking at the value created together with our customers, the number of local and international awards we have won and the continuous growth we have had since the beginning, OMG Sweden is an impressive and inspiring success story. Fredrik started with us already in 2005 and has been a vital contributing factor to our journey. I am thrilled that he is now taking over the leadership after Ali “, says Peter Gottfredsen, Nordic CEO and Chairman of the Board.
